MARK D. WOOD, M.D., F.A.C.S. received his undergraduate degree from Geneva Collge and earned his Doctor of Medicine at Penn State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He completed his General Surgery residency at Kessler Medical Center, in Biloxi, Mississippi. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and has active medical staff privileges at Sentara Williamsburg Community Hospital.
He is skilled in the treatment of gallbladder disease, hernias and thyroid nodules, all aspects of gastrointestinal surgery, cancer surgery, as well as all aspects of breast surgery. He specializes in advanced laparoscopy and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Wood has been practicing in the area since 1998 and became part of TPMG in 2004. |
