KEITH A. LEIBOWITZ, M.D., F.A.C.G. received his Bachelor of Science degree from LaSalle College in Philadelphia, and earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla. He completed an Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine, followed by a Fellowship in Gastoenterology at New York Medical College. Dr. Leibowitz is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is on the active medical staff of Mary Immaculate Hospital. Prior to joining TPMG, Dr. Leibowitz was in private practice for nearly 15 years in central New York state. Dr. Leibowitz specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to the digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach, colon, liver and the pancreas. He routinely performs screening and diagnostic colonoscopies; upper endoscopies; ERCP procedures; and gastric tube placements. He has been practicing in Newport News since 2006. |

BADER EL-SAFADI, M.D. received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Algiers, Algiers, Algeria. Dr. El-Safadi completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Sherbrooke in Sherbrooke, Quebec. He also completed fellowships in Gastroenterology at the University of Sherbrooke and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at Wellesley Hospital, University of Toronto. Since 1991, Dr. El-Safadi served as the staff internist and Gastroenterologist in a tertiary medical center in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. He is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine and joined the TPMG Gastroenterology office in Newport News on March 1, 2008.
