DANNY V. CANTWELL, M.D., F.A.C.S. received his undergraduate degree from Emory State University and earned his Doctor of Medicine Summa Cum Laude at Emory State University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in General Surgery and served as Chief Surgical Resident at Emory University’s Grady Hospital. Dr. Cantwell is board certified in General Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has published in numerous medical journals, and has served as both director and faculty presenter for many continuing education surgical symposiums on laparoscopic surgery. His special medical interests include the treatment of breast disease, intestinal cancer, gallbladder disease, and hernia repairs. Dr. Cantwell has been practicing in Newport News since 1983. |

ELIZABETH A. O'NEIL, M.D., F.A.C.S. received her undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and earned her Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia. She completed a residency in General Surgery at Wake Forest University’s North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Dr. O’Neil is board certified in General Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Her special medical interests include the treatment of breast disease, gallbladder disease, and thyroid and colon surgery. She has been practicing in Newport News since 1993. |

STEVEN B. HOPSON, M.D., F.A.C.S. received his undergraduate degree from Temple University and earned his Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed a residency in General Surgery and served as Chief Resident at East Carolina University’s Pitt County Memorial Hospital. Dr. Hopson is board certified in General Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has been practicing in the area since 1995. |
